Answer to Question 1

ANS: C
A laryngeal mask airway is contraindicated for three reasons; there was evidence he had a full stomach, there was evidence of gastroesophageal reflux, and his lung compliance is decreased. This would require an endotracheal tube to support ventilation. There is no evidence that a dou-ble lumen endotracheal tube is necessary.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: A
Humidity is water that exists in the form of individual molecules in the vaporous or gaseous state. An aerosol is a suspension of solid or liquid particles in a gas. Water vapor does exert pres-sure, although the pressure may vary.
