Answer to Question 1

C
With a tension pneumothorax, the buildup of air pressure on the affected side of the chest pushes the trachea, lung, and heart to the opposite (unaffected) side.

Answer to Question 2

B
MAS can cause hypoxemia, which, in turn, can lead to PPHN. Hypoxemia will not cause status asthmaticus, BPD, or pulmonary fibrosis.
