Answer to Question 1

D
Feedback:
Mongolian spots are irregular dark, blue-green areas generally found on the lower back. The shapes have regular edges and are not a sign of abuse. They are almost always present in Asian infants and are frequently found in Mediterranean and African infants. Hemangiomas are overgrowths of blood vessels. A capillary hemangioma (port-wine stain, nevus flammeus) is a red or purple lesion that usually does not fade. A nevus (plural: nevi) is an abnormal skin mark that is pigmented or vascular; some are called birthmarks.

Answer to Question 2

D
Feedback:
Women may choose to give birth at home. Home births may be attended by either a CNM or, less frequently, a physician. One reason some women choose this option is that the home is their territory, which is not the case in either a birth center or a hospital.
