Answer to Question 1

ANS: B
With incomplete spinal cord injuries, some sensory, proprioceptive, and motor impulses are present. Loss of function depends on the extent and location of the injury. This is sometimes seen at the lower aspect of the cord below L1 in the region of the cauda equina. Bowel or bladder can be affected without impairing mobility.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: T
The spinal cord is composed of gray matter on the inside. The gray matter is composed of cell bodies. The white matter, composed of nerve fibers, is on the outside. This is the opposite of the brain.
