Answer to Question 1

ANS: A
Lidocaine is extensively used in surgical procedures and dentistry. It has rapid onset, rare allergic reactions and is potent.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: C
Succinylcholine is given primarily for endotracheal intubation. It has an onset of action in seconds, produces paralysis, and can also provide continuing muscle relaxation. It should be avoided in patients with a history of malignant hyperthermia.
