Answer to Question 1

ANS: F
The scrub person should say the name of the drug as it is being handed to the surgeon to prevent a medication error.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: T
The FDA regulates drugs and pharmaceuticals, but not dietary supplements, herbs, and home remedies. The manufacturers may include a disclaimer that the substance is not approved by the FDA, but yet promote their products as treatments for everything from baldness to weight loss. Although many are useful, many can cause harm when combined with modern drugs.
