Answer to Question 1

One of the signs of rabies is behavior change. An animal may appear unusually aggressive or unusually tame.
If a wild animal is on your property, leave it alone. If the animal exhibits unusual behavior, contact your local
animal control authorities. Refer to Page 213 for a more complete listing of symptoms.

Answer to Question 2

Toxoplasmosis is a disease produced by infection of the parasite Toxoplasma gondii. It can be carried by
several different animal species but is usually spread to humans through cat feces or contaminated litter.
Pregnant women should not handle cat litter boxes because toxoplasmosis can cause miscarriage, premature
births, and blindness in the unborn child.
