Physical activity may enhance bone mineralization, social competency, learning, and may help regulate weight. Influences include gender, obesity, parental activity, SES, and opportunity. Participation encourages self-discipline, and time and effort commitments. Feelings of competency, self-worth, self-esteem, and enjoyment, skill-building, cooperation, perspective-taking and making new friends may also be included.

Answer to Question 2

Answers must include gross and fine motor skills as well as perceptual-motor integration and activities to develop coordination and teamwork.
