This is not an event indicating progress. 2. This does not indicate improvement; it may make the client more unacceptable to others. 4. This is not desirable.

Using how, what, and when to gather information is a nonthreatening approach. It will promote client verbalization and explanation of events without causing the client to become defensive. 2.
