Animal wastes that are not managed properly may get into runoff and contaminate the water supply or they
can seep into the ground and contaminate the groundwater.
 Excessive or improperly applied pesticides and fertilizers can be carried by runoff into the water supply or they
can seep into the ground and contaminate the groundwater.
 Soil sediments resulting from erosion can be carried by moving water or wind and be deposited in undesirable
places downstream or downwind

Radioactive wastes accumulate in the fish tissues, which can be passed on to humans if they eat the fish.
