Answer to Question 1

Clearing land for agricultural production, construction, or any other human use allows accelerated erosion to
occur. The diversion of surface runoff from its natural path (e.g., by a large parking lot) causes erosion

Answer to Question 2

Accelerated erosion is the loss of surface soil to water and wind that results when the natural vegetative cover is
damaged or removed by some action of humans

Chronic necrotizing aspergillosis has a slowly progressive process that, unlike invasive aspergillosis, does not spread to other organ systems or the blood vessels. Though Candida and Aspergillus species are the most common fungal pathogens causing invasive fungal disease in the immunocompromised, infections due to previously uncommon hyaline and dematiaceous filamentous fungi are occurring more often today. Rare fungal infections, once accurately diagnosed, may require surgical debridement, immunotherapy, and newer antifungals used singly or in combination with older antifungals, on a case-by-case basis.
