Answer to Question 1

Cautions to keep in mind when considering the use of rodenticides are to always place
poisoned baits in bait stations where other animals or humans (children) cannot reach
the poison. Place the bait under a wooden or metal box with a small hole cut in it that is
just large enough for mice to enter.

Answer to Question 2

Ways to prevent or control snails and slugs that do not require the application of
molluscicides include creating a rough surface near plants to make it difficult for them to
crawl and reach the plants, placing a shallow dish of beer or water and yeast in a pan
near the plants to attract them and cause them to drown, and removing them by hand.
