The leading producer of wood is Georgia. This is because the hot, humid weather allows
the trees to grow in much less time.



Answer to Question 2

The Federal Forest Reserve Act gave the president the power to reserve and manage
timberlands so that in the future, people would have forests to use and enjoy.
