Answer to Question 1

Hot water or fossil fuels including natural gas, propane, kerosene, and
oil.

Answer to Question 2

1) Conduction loss can be reduced by lowering the inside to outside
temperature differential through such measures as a second covering on the
greenhouse (usually polyethylene), a thermal screen, or the use of a low energy
radiant heat system. 2) Infiltration loss is reduced by sealing leaks. These.
measures include lap sealants, covering exhaust fans, repairing broken and
cracked glass, reglazing leaky greenhouses, and weather stripping on doors and
ventilators. 3) Radiation loss is reduced by using a layer of material opaque to
radiant energy as a thermal screen and by using film plastic with radiant heat
block.
