Stroke volume is the measurement of blood that enters the aorta with each ventricular contraction. Cardiac output is the volume of blood pumped by the heart in one minute. The pulse is the bounding of blood flow in an artery. Pulse pressure is the measurement of the ratio of stroke volume to compliance of the arterial system.
