Answer to Question 1

C
Certain vitamins (A, C, and E) are currently of considerable interest in their role as antioxidants that neutralize substances called free radicals, which are thought to produce oxidative damage to body cells and tissues. It is believed that oxidative damage increases a person's risk for various cancers.
Fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) can be stored in the body. Hypervitaminosis of fat-soluble vitamins can result from intentional or unintentional megadoses of supplemental vitamins, ex-cessive amounts fortified foods, and a large intake of fish oil.
Although water-soluble vitamins are not stored, toxicity may still occur with vitamin megadoses.
The body is unable to synthesize most vitamins in the required amounts and depends on dietary intake.
