Biotin is important in carbohydrate, fat, and protein biotransformation. Foods that are good sources of biotin are liver, kidneys, egg yolk, soybeans, and yeast.

Vitamin A deficiency results in night blindness, xerophthalmia (abnormal dryness of the conjunc-tiva and cornea), loss of corneal substance, and scarring.
