Answer to Question 1

ANS: C
Leucovorin can be administered concurrently with methotrexate to enhance the effects of the latter.
Vitamin C, calcium, and spironolactone are not known to enhance the effects of methotrexate.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: D
The patient should be warned to avoid direct exposure to cold or touch cold objects and should avoid cold liquids and the use of ice, because cold exacerbates neuropathy.
Nothing indicates that the patient should avoid sunlight.
Alopecia occurs in 2 of the patients taking the drug; less frequent shampooing does not prevent hair loss.
Nothing indicates that antacids need to be taken with this medication.
