Nurses have to memorize a great deal of information in clinical practice. When trying to memorize all the different units in the apothecaries' and metric systems, you should do the fol-lowing: (Select all that apply.)

Rather than memorizing all the different units, most hospitals, clinics, and offices have basic ref-erence pharmacologic texts with information on conversion from one system to another. You should also do the following: (1) master the most familiar units system, (2) learn equivalents in two systems, and (3) know where information is found rapidly.

Diabetic patients should avoid drinking alcohol, because it can intensify hypoglycemia produced by insulin, causing blood glucose levels to fall too fast.
