Rocephin is administered intramuscularly (IM) only.
Rocephin is not administered orally or intravenously.

A calcium channel blocker or long-acting nitrite is used alone initially for variant angina; because the long-acting nitrite has not proved effective, the calcium channel blocker is the next treatment.
Beta blockers and vasodilators and are not effective against variant angina.
An organic nitrite is not effective against vasospastic angina.
