Answer to Question 1

A
Feedback:
A single IM dose of vitamin K is given to newborn infants to prevent hemorrhagic disease of newborns. The infant does not need multiple injections of vitamin K to prevent hemorrhage. The administration of vitamin K will not protect from infection. Vitamin K is not used to enhance nutrition.

Answer to Question 2

A
Feedback:
Moderate to large doses of atropine increase the heart rate by blocking parasympathetic vagal stimulation. The exacerbation of the parasympathetic vagal stimulation is opposite the effect of atropine. The blockage of histamine is seen with the antihistamine medications, not anticholinergic agents. Atropine does not block cell wall synthesis.
