An individual development plan is a plan jointly developed by an employee and his or her supervisor that outlines training needed by the employee.

Answer to Question 2

The first is skill enhancement training designed to improve employee performance of his or her current position. The second is development training to provide employees with the necessary skills to allow them to compete successfully for higher-level positions.
