What is the purpose of equalization in the charging process?

Answer to Question 1

In the equalization process, the battery is overcharged at approximately one volt above float in order to equalize the charge on all the cells in the battery or battery bank.

Answer to Question 2

Direct drive type wind turbines produce dc that is converted to a fixed frequency and voltage level that is compatible with the grid.
