  a. there is no birth dearth, or declining population

No; as discussed in the notes for the teacher, utilities need to supply many
customers, but not all use the energy at exactly the same time; this allows the utilities to use
spread out in the demand to supply less cycling or peak load that they would have to were
each customer to have his or her own generator.
