Typical Symptoms:
Often asymptomatic. Clusters of small, painful blisters in genital and anal areas or around mouth. General flu-like symptoms: mild fever, fatigue, and tenderness in lymph nodes, perhaps urinary pain.

Mode of Transmission:
Oral, vaginal, or anal sexual activities; kissing.

Treatment:
No cure. Treated with antiherpetic drugs (acyclovir, famciclovir, valacyclovir).
