When considering the coming-out process, teens and young adults
 
  a. generally need little preparation when telling liberal or open parents
  b. should expect any loving parent to accept them with open arms
  c. should realize that their motive to tell parents may determine the likelihood of a positive resolution
  d. need to realize that they must be completely independent of any need of support
