1 . Poorly developed interpersonal skills are characteristic of people with disabilities.
2 . Individuals with disabilities are often resistive to counseling. One has to address the lack of success in schools and limited positive work experiences.
3 . Immediate pressing needs make it difficult for people with disabilities to focus on long-term projects.
4 . People with disabilities search for positive work models and job behavior.
5 . Individuals with a disability often feel powerless to change the direction of their lives.
6 . Expect people with disabilities to have a poor self-image, especially those who have been singled out as being different.
