Answer to Question 1

ANSWER: The two areas are (1) mathematics calculation and (2) mathematics reasoning. Students with learning disabilities can be identified with disorders in either of these areas. Many students with learning disabilities need specific instruction in computation skills; many more need instruction in mathematics reasoning.
