ANSWER: The Behavioral Unit consists of three parts: (A) antecedent event or stimulus; (B)
target behaviorthe student response and (C) the consequent event or reinforcement.
Behavioral approaches to teaching are often used with students with learning
disabilities and related mild disabilities. Strategies include direct instruction and explicit
teaching.
