Answer to Question 1

Fluids, fruit juice, caffeine, and sugar.

Answer to Question 2

44 kg  1.5 - 1.6 = 66 -70 . In actual practice, this would be based on results of a N2 balance while the patient is receiving TPN, but this should be a good starting place.
