What would be an appropriate kind of TF to start for Mr. Y? Remember that Mr. Y is in CHF and is on restricted fluids and remember where the tip of the feeding tube is.

Answer to Question 1

The RD had a mission that she intended to accomplish regardless of what the patient wanted. She was determined to obtain food preferences. She was not sensitive to the patient's needs or situation. She did not let the patient finish everything she wanted to say. A lot for class discussion here.

Answer to Question 2

One of the more concentrated tube feedings (1.5-2.0 kcals per cc) that is low Na would be more appropriate.
