According to Diabetes Care 28:S4-S36, 2005 it is recommended to be < 130/80 mmHg.

Answer to Question 2

Cigarettes: Not a food but causes HCl secretion and decreases bicarb secretion in mucosa lining.
ASA: stimulates HCl secretion and acts as an irritant to the stomach mucosa directly.
