Answer to Question 1

Protein requirement calculated using the IBW = 97.5 kg x 0.8 = 78 g
Protein requirement calculated using the ABW = 135.9 kg x 0.8 = 109 g
Protein requirement using the RBW = 80 kg x 0.8 = 64g

Answer to Question 2

I do not think the adjusted body weight is an accurate way to calculate TB's caloric and protein needs because when someone gets this large, there are no standards to estimate the ratio of fat to lean. The only method that might work is the use of a metabolic cart in conjunction with a nitrogen balance to determine his caloric and protein needs.
