Answer to Question 1

4

Rationale: Clients who are identified postkidney transplant to have hyperlipidemia should be treated with a lipid-lowering agent and a therapeutic diet to prevent cardiovascular disease. Hyperlipidemia is reported in about 90 of clients postkidney transplant. Hypertension, which may result from sodium retention caused as an adverse side effect of medications, may also contribute to cardiac risk along with diabetes. Peripheral neuropathy is not caused by hyperlipidemia.

Answer to Question 2

C
Patients who are receiving enteral tube feedings should be positioned with the head of the bed elevated 30 to 45 degrees to help prevent aspiration. They do not need to sit upright. Lying on their side does not reduce the risk of aspiration.
