Answer to Question 1

The HPV vaccines have surpassed all expectations in terms of disease prevention and are considered anti-cancer vaccines. Since the introduction of the vaccines in 2006, vaccine-type HPV prevalence has decreased 56 percent among female teenagers aged 14-19. However, vaccination rate in the United States is still low.

Answer to Question 2

Men with trichomoniasis can experience itching or irritation inside the penis, a burning sensation after urination or ejaculation, or discharge from the penis. Women may also feel itching or burning, redness or soreness of the genitals, uncomfortable urination, or an unusual discharge that can be clear, white, yellowish, or greenish. Having trichomoniasis can make sex quite uncomfortable. Without treatment, the infection can last for months or even years.
Trichomoniasis also increases the risk of getting or spreading other STIs. For example, trichomoniasis can cause genital inflammation that makes it easier to become HIV-infected or to pass the virus on to others.
