Answer to Question 1

Leadership focuses on the what and why of the organization, and management deals with the how that is needed to achieve the what and the why.

Leadership involves long-term planning and directing the work of employees. Management activities involve shorter-term and often day-to-day activities to meet financial goals without losing sight of required standards. Both leadership and management activities are required to operate a successful establishment.

Answer to Question 2
