Answer to Question 1

Employees are usually an organization's most important public. The successful completion of an
organization's values-based goals rests upon their shoulders. Employees say their preferred channel
of communication is face-to-face meetings with their immediate supervisors. Other popular tactics in
employee relations include newsletters, magazines, videos, bulletin boards, speeches, intranets, and
special events.

Answer to Question 2

There are six key factors in executing tactics: You need to know who is responsible for seeing to it
that every aspect of a tactic is fully completed. Each tactic must have a specified deadline - and that
deadline must be met. There needs to be quality control. Everyone involved in a communications
effort needs to know what is happening and who is doing what. There also needs to be good
communication with clients or supervisors. There should be constant evaluation.
