Answer to Question 1

Anger and depression often occur and the client may have an unwillingness to learn anything about the condition that is in control of the client's life. Diet therapy is very complex and may serve to lower self-esteem. Fear of death and dealing with the grieving process is very much a part of life. Clients grieve for the loss of normal body function, loss of a kidney, and the fear of death. They may also grieve for loss of roles within the family or work situation.
