There will be three samples of yogurt given to each panelist in clear, unlabeled cups. The vanilla yogurt samples will be served in the same proportions. Two of the samples contain vanilla yogurt A and one contains vanilla yogurt B. The panelists will identify the odd sample (vanilla yogurt B) after tasting each sample.

Paired comparison tests have two coded samples that are presented simultaneously and evaluated for intensity of a specific characteristic. One advantage of a paired comparison test is the small number of samples to analyze.
