Answer to Question 1

False

Answer to Question 2

1 . Infants learn to eat a variety of healthy foods by being offered an assortment of nutritious food choices. There are no inborn mechanisms that direct babies to select a nutritious diet.
2 . Infants must be allowed to eat when they are hungry and to stop eating when they are full. Infants, not parents, know when they are hungry and when they have had enough to eat.
3 . Food should be offered in a pleasant environment with positive adult attention.
4 . Food should not be used as a reward, punishment, or pacifier.
5 . Infants or children should never be coerced into eating anything.
6 . Food preferences change throughout infancy. Because an infant rejects a food one time does not mean she or he will not accept the food if offered later. Offering a food on a number of occasions often improves acceptance of the food. Babies still may not like strong-flavored vegetables until they are older, however.

People who have myopia, or nearsightedness, are not able to see objects at a distance but only up close. It occurs when the cornea is either curved too steeply, the eye is too long, or both. This condition is progressive and worsens with time. More than 100 million people in the United States are nearsighted, but only 20% of those are born with the condition.
