Why would this initiative insist on placing label information on the front of the package when a label already on the package?

Many people grab food on the run and do not take a few minutes to look closely at the nutrition facts panel on the label. A prominent label such as contains 100 calories per serving on the front of the box/package will likely get their attention more quickly than information that is found within the nutrient facts panel of the label.
