Answer to Question 1

b

Answer to Question 2

The nerves and muscles of the body require a specific range of electrolytes in the blood, tissues, and cells to function optimally. Calcium, sodium, and potassium levels are very important for muscle contraction and relaxation and for nerve impulse transmission. If their concentrations are too high due to dehydration, the muscles and nerves may not function as well as they could. The transport of glucose to tissues may be reduced due to dehydration as well. When glucose levels are low in the muscle and nerve cells, they may not function as well as they should for quicker reaction times or for coordination.
