The most common causes of cirrhosis in the United States are hepatitis C, alcoholic liver disease, hepatitis B, and miscellaneous factors, such as autoimmune hepatitis, biliary cirrhosis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, hemochromatosis, Wilson's disease, alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, granulomatous disease, drug-induced liver disease, and chronic right-sided heart failure.
