Good nutrition is important during the growing years for all of the following reasons EXCEPT:
 a. food preferences develop during the growing years.
  b. growth will not proceed normally unless nutrients are adequate.
  c. growth will not proceed normally unless energy is adequate.
  d. early diets do not influence risk for chronic disease later in life.
