Answer to Question 1

The Belmont Report describes three fundamental ethical principles (respect for persons, beneficence, and justice) for acceptable conduct of research with human subjects. As community nutritionists work with people, theyneed to be sensitive to these ethical principles.

Answer to Question 2

A grant writer who chases grants is one who is not focused on a given topic and jumps from topic to topic to capture the latest stream of grant money. Unfocused grant chasers usually feel frustrated because they are constantly changing gears and trying to develop expertise in many, often unrelated areas. Many times, this grant chasing has a negative impact on their success rate as a funded grant writer.

Although the Roman numeral for the number 4 has always been taught to have been "IV," according to historians, the ancient Romans probably used "IIII" most of the time. This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
