 The lesson plan should be centered on the learner's interests, needs, and motivation.
 When learning is related to real-life situations, learners can readily identify with the situation. The examples provided need to be directly related to the learners' lives and experiences.
 Adults learn best when they are involved in the process. Ask them at the beginning of the class what they expect to learn. People learn by doing and by being involved in solving the problem at hand.
