 a. Use a pictorial guide to illustrate nutrition options.
  b. Speak slowly in plain English.
  c. Use advanced medical terms because these are the same in all cultures.
  d. Use a nonprofessional translator.

First, because obesity is so intractable, it is preferable and more cost-effective to focus on prevention. Second, food habits are still fairly malleable for children, so it makes sense to target policies and programs at this age group. Finally, it is easy to reach children through the school environment.
