Answer to Question 1

A

Answer to Question 2

Caitlin (or her parents) may have been a bit too aggressive in trying to prevent tooth decay, as she is likely suffering from fluorosis, or fluoride toxicity. Of particular importance, in order for her to have developed these spots, she would have been exposed to the high levels of fluoride during the first three years of her life, as these spots are only seen when the teeth are developing. Being more careful with her fluoride levels now would have no impact on these spots now.
