Now that you know why David must limit his intake of iron, how could his dietary choices impact his status for other nutrients in this body?

Answer to Question 1

Answer to Question 2

Reducing dietary iron intake means that David would consume less red meat, some nuts, molasses, and fortified cereals, and avoid consuming fresh produce and citrus together. Some dietary substitutions for red meat could be more complementation of grain and legume products, more soy/dairy products, and of course, eggs, all of which would provide David with adequate protein but less iron. I think avoiding nuts, molasses, and fortified cereals would not be a considerable hardship given the variety of food choice available in todays supermarket.
