Answer to Question 1

Answer to Question 2

If I discovered I had hemochromatosis I think I would react similarly to David: choose more nonheme food items, exercise more, and not be thrilled about being a guinea pig for phlebotomists-in-training. I might become more active in fundraising for others with hemochromatosis so that the costs of frequent phlebotomies would not drain their finances. In addition, I would encourage David and others with hemochromatosis to share their choices with others suffering and help them succeed too.
